**Your Costa Rican Naturalist Guide will accompany you throughout the trip**
Day 1 Upon your arrival your Tour Escort in Costa Rica will meet you and take
you to your hotel in San Jose.
You will visit The National Biodiversity Institute (INBio) of Costa Rica, a private research and biodiversity management center, established in 1989 to support efforts to gather knowledge on the country’s biological diversity and promote its sustainable use.
This tour is a good introduction to Costa Rica Natural Wonders. The visitor will experience a combination of nature trails with multimedia technology.
The 20-acre park's interpreted trails allow visitors to experience living samples of Costa Rica's native ecosystem, tropical humid forest, tropical dry forest and Central Valley native forest. In the park's facilities you can learn about our biodiversity and the search for development of new products: medicines, cosmetics, nutritional and agricultural products. Participants can also learn about Costa Rica's efforts and the creation of national parks, biological reserves and other protected areas.
Overnight San Jose.
Day 2 Departure to Monteverde Cloud Forest.
Your tour escort will come to pick you up this morning and take you to this famous National Park where you will have the chance to experience a Cloud Forest ecosystem.
Sky Trek tour.
Sky Trek is a system of trails, suspension bridges, and zip lines that offers visitors the opportunity to observe, and appreciate tropical vegetation from different vantage points, above the canopy.
Overnight near Monteverde.
Day 3 Morning visit to Monteverde Cloud Forest
“The spectacular Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Feels like walking in a grandiose green Cathedral. Wind-sculptured elfin woodlands on the exposed ridges are spectacularly dwarfed, whereas protected cove Monteverde rainforests have majestically tall trees festooned with orchids, bromeliads, ferns, vines, and mosses.”
Day 4 Early departure to Arenal Volcano
Arenal fulfills the classic volcano image.
It's perfectly conical shape emerges from Alajuela’s gentle green hills. From time to time, loud explosions are heard and a mushroom cloud of gray, brown, orange or blue smoke billows out of the top. Overnight at Arenal.
Day 5 Hanging bridges in Arenal
“Arenal Hanging Bridges is one the most beautiful environmental friendly project in Costa Rica. Located in front of the Arenal Volcano, within the corridor followed by birds migrating between North and South America, the trails and bridges of this project will bring you as close as you could ever hope to get to the birds, the flowers and the lush vegetation of the primary rainforest. Walk right into the forest, thanks to the imposing hanging bridges overlooking the canopy and the easy, safe & beautiful trails with views of the Volcano”
After this tour the group will travel to Venecia where they will stop for a nice refreshing lunch and then continue to a local lodge. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 6 Rain forest visit this morning
You will go hiking with your naturalist guide and learn about the primary rainforest environment.
Afternoon boat trip. Glide down the river in search of caiman, howler monkeys, iguanas, birds, and other tropical wildlife. Enjoy the covered boats with quiet electric motors and drivers who are expert animal spotters.
Day 7 Open morning to visit local attractions in the area.
Departure to San Jose
After lunch the group will depart to San Jose. Farewell dinner. Overnight at San Jose Hotel.
Day 8 Flight back home
Transfer to the airport will be provided.
