Passionate about history? 2009 marks the 65th anniversary of the D-Day Normandy invasions.

Join Value Holidays and re-live all the moments of World War II and follow the roads taken by our liberators. Walk through the battlefields where young American troops stormed the beaches of Normandy in fierce battles with the German forces on D-Day.

Value Holiday’s Battlefields of World War II D-Day tour will allow you to understand the difficulties facing the American troops who assaulted this part of the Normandy coast. Travel along the coast visiting Sword, Juno and Gold Beaches where British and Canadian forces landed. Stand on the cliffs of Omaha and Utah Beaches where soldiers scaled the walls under extreme enemy fire.

Journey through Paris and Reims visiting the “Surrender Room” where the official German surrender was signed on May 7th, 1945. Visit the famous Notre Dame Cathedral and be treated to a Champagne Tasting at one of the many champagne cellars in Reims.

Luxembourg American Cemetery and MemorialTravel to Luxembourg and on your way stop and visit Verdun where the Battle of Verdun took place. This battle is considered the greatest and lengthiest in world history with an estimated 700,000 casualties. Afterwards, take a tour of the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial where General Patton is buried.  Explore the city of Aachen, the grounds for the Battle of the Bulge. Here, 19,000 American soldiers lost their lives, the most of any engagement during the war. Finish your tour with a magnificent Rhine Cruise in Frankfurt.
